Cell Culture Equipment Effectively Improves Cell Development

The specific requirements of a cell culture laboratory mainly depend on the type of research being conducted; for example, the needs of a mammalian cell culture laboratory that specializes in cancer research are very different from those of an insect cell culture laboratory that focuses on protein expression. However, all cell culture laboratories have a common requirement, that is, no pathogenic microorganisms (that is, sterile), and share some basic equipment essential for cell culture.

This section lists the equipment and supplies commonly used in most cell culture laboratories, as well as useful equipment that can help perform the work more efficiently or accurately or allow a wider range of detection and analysis.

Please note that this list is not exhaustive; the requirements of any cell culture laboratory depend on the type of work performed.

1.Basic equipment
Cell culture hood (ie laminar flow hood or biological safety cabinet)
Incubator (we recommend using a humid CO2 incubator)
Water bath
Centrifuge
Refrigerators and freezers (-20°C)
Cell counter (for example, Countess automatic cell counter or blood cell counter)
Inverted microscope
Liquid nitrogen (N2) freezer or low-temperature storage container
Sterilizer (ie autoclave)

2.Expansion equipment and additional supplies
Aspiration pump (peristaltic or vacuum)
pH meter
Confocal microscope
Flow cytometer
Cell culture containers (such as flasks, petri dishes, roller bottles, multi-well plates)
Pipettes and pipettes
Syringe and needle
Waste container
Medium, serum and reagents
Cells
Cell cube
EG bioreactor
